We head to South Carolina in search of a winner. After this week nothing could be finer than to be in Carolina.

Certainly got to be better than Loftus Road and another spineless display from QPR when they should have been off for their lives.

The only consolation is that I consider losses loaned on both Hull (Friday) and QPR because when they respectively get promoted and relegated there will be money to be made from taking them on. I’m considering a Star Sports standing order to do just that – for the whole season.

Deep breath.

Nothing will match the excitement of the US Masters seven days ago but if you like your golf punting then Charlie Hoffman looks a solid bet at around 7/4 to hold onto his lead and win the RBC Heritage Tournament at the Harbour Town Golf Links Club in South Carolina.

He has a two shot lead going into the final round and there’s a serious lack of ‘names’ at the top of the US dominated leaderboard.

I always try and take on a player who gets to the top through one exceptional round but that’s the not the case with with the Hoff. His 66 yesterday equalled his opening round and our man birdied four of his first five holes yesterday.

A similar start today could see him pull clear.
