Joe Biden new bookies’ favourite to be elected as President at 11/10 from 5/4; Donald Trump out to 5/4 from 6/5 as hush-money trial begins

As Donald Trump’s hush-money trial commences today in New York, bookmaker Star Sports have reported overwhelming support for opposing candidate Joe Biden, who has become the new market leader to maintain his post as President at the next election.

Joe Biden has been backed into 11/10 from 5/4, while Trump’s odds for US presidency have drifted further from 6/5 out to 5/4.

William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “Donald Trump’s hush-money trial has triggered a significant change in the US Presidential Election betting, with Joe Biden leapfrogging him to become the new outright favourite.

“Current President Joe Biden is now back on top of the betting for the first time since September, shortening from 5/4 to 11/10 while Trump has been pushed out to 5/4 from 6/5.”
