PRESS RELEASE: Farage 3/1 favourite to succeed Burnham at Number 10

Reform leader heads Badenoch in next PM betting; Streeting 5/1 favourite to become next Labour leader

Nigel Farage is the most likely candidate to follow Andy Burnham as the next UK Prime Minister, according to latest market insights provided by Star Sports.

Burnham entered Downing Street as Keir Starmer’s successor yesterday, but Farage is Burnham’s main rival for the top job in UK politics, priced at 3/1 to be the next politician to enter Number 10.

While Burnham swept to power with overwhelming support of his party, newly-appointed Defence Secretary Wes Streeting is 5/1 to become the next Labour leader, should Burnham’s tenure not go to plan.

Flynn Goward, Managing Director at Star Sports, said: “Another big day in Westminster saw Andy Burnham enter 10 Downing Street as Keir Starmer’s successor – as a result, we now make Reform UK leader Nigel Farage the most likely next Prime Minister of the UK. At 3/1, Farage is Burnham’s biggest political rival, ahead of Tory leader Kemi Badenoch (9/2).

“If Burnham follows in Starmer’s footsteps and fails to take Labour into the next General Election, we make Wes Streeting the most likely member of government to take on the top role – Streeting is 5/1 to become the next Labour leader after earning a return to cabinet in his new position as Defence Secretary.”
