PRESS RELEASE: Haaland 6/4 to join Real Madrid in wake of FFP breaches

Erling Haaland is 6/4 with Star Sports to make a shock move to Real Madrid before next season, following fears that Manchester City may face relegation due to their breach of Premier League financial regulations.

Bayern Munich (2/1) and Barcelona (7/2) are the next most likely destinations for the City star, with Arsenal (5/1) favourites to secure his signature should he remain in the Premier League.

However, despite the speculation caused by last week’s ruling that found City in breach of all but one of their 115 charges, Haaland is odds-on at 4/9 to still be at the Etihad next season.

Russell Bardon, a spokesperson for Star Sports, said: “Last week’s ruling that Manchester City were guilty of all but one of their financial breaches has caused speculation to swirl that Erling Haaland may be tempted to escape the Etihad.

“With a surprise opportunity to prise the Norwegian away from Manchester, there are understandably many big clubs circling and we make Haaland 6/4 to join Real Madrid before next season.

“If Haaland is to remain in England, Arsenal (5/1) are favourites to lure him to the Emirates, but Bayern Munich (2/1) and Barcelona (7/2) are both thought to be more likely destinations.

“Despite the rumours, Haaland is still odds-on at 4/9 to still be at the Etihad for the first day of the 2027/28 season.”
