PRESS RELEASE: Harris widens gap over Trump
Democrat candidate into 8/11 from 10/11 to win US election
Democrat candidate Kamala Harris has lengthened the gap in the market for US presidency over Donald Trump, according to Star Sports.
Harris, who was 10/11 last week, has shortened into 8/11. She’s also as short as 9/4 to pick up 270-299 electoral college votes, as well the Democratic party being heavily odds-on at 2/9 to win the popular vote.
Trump remains at 11/10 to be elected President, with odds of 5/6 to win over 75 million votes. The Republican party is out at 10/3 to win the popular vote.
William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “Kamala Harris looks to be going from strength-to-strength in her bid for the presidency as she shortens in the market, putting more distance between her and Republican candidate Donald Trump.”
“With a number of good polls since the debate, she’s had her price cut into 8/11, from 10/11 last week, and has been tipped at 9/4 to win between 270-299 of the electoral college votes. The Democrats are also overwhelming favourites at 2/9 to sweep up in the popular vote as they did in 2016 and 2020.
“Trump’s odds remain unchanged at 11/10 for the presidency and he has been backed into odds-on to pick up over 75 million votes at 5/6. The Republicans, who have lost the popular vote in the last two elections, continue to be adrift of their rivals in the market to win the popular vote at 10/3.”
