PRESS RELEASE: Trump’s National Security Advisor heads odds for Administration exit
Star Sports have released latest odds on the protagonists of the Signal chat leak losing their roles within the Trump Administration, with Mike Waltz the standout name.
Waltz is priced at 5/2 (+250) to vacate his role as National Security Advisor before the end of the year, a 28.6% chance.
Pete Hegseth, United States Secretary of Defense, is 3/1 (+300) to lose his place among Donald Trump’s inner circle, with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio 4/1 (+400).
Slightly longer odds of 6/1 (+600) are given for US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gubbard to also depart her position within the Trump Administration in 2025.
William Kedjanyi, Political Betting Analyst at Star Sports, said: “The Signal chat leak scandal has rocked US politics this week and although Donald Trump has backed members of his administration involved, it would be no surprise if the President u-turned and members of his top team are never far away from trouble.
“National Security Advisor Mike Waltz could be the fall guy for the breach, and Star Sports make it a 28.6% chance that he departs his role before the end of the year, with odds of 5/2 (+250).
“Pete Hesgeth could also be in trouble – it’s 3/1 (+300) that he is no longer United States Secretary of Defense heading into 2026; with Marco Rubio 4/1 (+400) to lose his spot as Secretary of State.
“Tulsi Gubbard meanwhile is 6/1 (+600) to be forced out of her role as Director of National Intelligence.”
