PRESS RELEASE: Xabi Alonso favourite to replace Klopp

Star Sports have revealed that, following Jurgen Klopp’s shock announcement, Xabi Alonso is the frontrunner to take over as Liverpool manager.

Xabi Alonso is currently 8/11 in the betting to leave Bayer Leverkusen and return to Liverpool to manage the side next season.

In behind Alonso are both Brighton head coach Roberto De Zerbi at 6/1, and Liverpool assistant manager Pep Lijnders at 7/1.
