PREVIEW: Burnley v Man City

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]fter four days of Cheltenham excess – not to mention a small loss – it’s back to business in the Premier League for today’s recommendation.

With Chelsea playing on Sunday against Southampton, there’s a chance for Man City to put a modicum of pressure on the league leaders if they can beat Burnley in the tea-time kick off.

A win would put Man City within two points of the lead – but crucially Chelsea will have two games in hand.

So, in other words, nothing other than a win will keep City’s hopes alive in a season where their main problem has been in defence. They have now conceded in eight of their last 10 league games and also conceded two against Burnley in the reverse fixture at the Etihad in which Burnley emerged with a well earned point.

Burnley are right in the thick of the relegation battle and would surely welcome another point against City, especially as Manuel Pellegrini has the luxury of a fully fit squad to choose from.

I’m looking at a ‘steadier’ after Cheltenham so ‘over 2.5 goals’ at around 4/6 with Star Sports will hopefully do the job nicely – to a 12 point stake.
