PREVIEW: Spurs v Asteras Tripolis
No joy with the draw recommendation last night at Anfield. If you’re going to be wrong, be wrong in style π

Clearly a hard game to have a strong opinion on. Spurs are short in the market for a team that are conceding plenty at the moment and their Greek visitors tonight have scored in their last 11 games.
Spurs are also coming into this game on the back of a 4-1 drubbing by Man City in the Premier League at the weekend and I’m not sure this one is going to be quite so straightforward as the market is suggesting.
Asteras Tripolis currently head Group C with four points from their two games compared with Spurs’ two points. Asteras drew 1-1 against Besiktas and then beat Partizan Belgrade 2-0.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is clearly in no mood to underestimate the visitors: “We expect a tough game. They are a very dynamic team.”
Ominously for Spurs fans, their only defeat in 10 Europa League group stage home games came against another Greek side – losing 2-1 to PAOK in 2011-12.
I think there will be goals – at both ends but it’s a night for smallish stakes.
