PREVIEW: West Ham v Everton
[dropcap]I[/dropcap] could probably get tonight’s verdict across in a tweet and have change from my 140 characters !!
It’s simply I think West Ham are a cracking bet at 7/5 with Star Sports.
I kept it simple last night with the win bet on Swindon and am planning to go for the home win tonight as I simply can’t have Everton at the moment and this could easily be their sixth successive away defeat.
Whilst there’s only five places between them in the league – Everton’s position in 12th is actually looking a little perilous. They are only three points off the drop zone !!
West Ham have been playing good football this season but have gone slightly off the boil. However, manager Sam Allardyce is likely to put out his strongest team possible for this and he is only without Diafra Sakho (back) and Cheikhou Kouyate (international duty).
Everton manager Roberto Martinez has much bigger problems though. He is missing several key players including Tim Howard (calf), Sylvain Distin (groin), Tony Hibbert, Leon Osman (foot), Darron Gibson and Steven Pienaar (both knee).
It finished 1-1 at Goodison but West Ham were unlucky not to progress at the first opportunity as it was in the 90th minute that Lukaku grabbed an equaliser for the Toffees.
West Ham should prove too strong tonight and book their opportunity of facing Doncaster Rovers or Bristol City in the fifth round.
