QPR v Stoke

Loftus Road
TIME: 3pm

QPR v Stoke wasn’t the immediate choice for the event of the day but it throws up and interesting betting conundrum.

End of season matches can be tricky – we found out that last night with a pitiful display from Hull. The drab 0-0 scoreline reflected a match in which seldom have we seen fewer shots on target. If Hull get promoted, as it looks, surely they will will be the shorest odds ever to drop back down.

Anyway enough of that disaster.

Back to QPR and our ‘Arry. He’s talking the rhetoric and insisting “the dream is still alive” but if they lose to Stoke today then the matter could be taken out of their hands.

The Hoops will be relegated on Monday night if and Sunderland beat Everton today, Newcastle avoid defeat at West Brom and Aston Villa win at Manchester United. A lot of ifs and buts there but it is obviously grim for QPR.

Despite the words Harry Redknapp’s body language didn’t inspire confidence when we watched him on Sky News at Star Sports earlier.

So it’s nothing less that three points demanded from QPR today against a Stoke side who are only hovering over the drop zone themselves.

QPR are without Zamora who is suspended but we’re taking them to at least give themselves a chance of survival.

The dream might yet be still alive. For one match at least.

(stake between 0.5 and 10 points)
5 points win QPR

(-10 points Friday)
