RYDER CUP: Your Captain’s Picks

It’s Ryder Cup time and we have a new free-to-enter competition where you can pick your own team with a £250 FREE BET up for grabs with starsports.bet!

How to play…

All 24 Ryder Cup players will be put into 6 groups of 4 based on skill-level.

Customers will select 1 player from each of the 6 groups, creating their 6-man Ryder Cup Team.

Points will be allocated alongside the actual Ryder Cup scoring.

If one of your selected players wins their match so their team earns 1 point – you get 1 point as well.

In foursomes or fourballs where 2 players work together to get 1 point – each player will receive 1 point in our scoring (i.e., Viktor Hovland and Rory McIlroy defeat Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau in Fourballs = anyone who has either Hovland or McIlroy on their team will receive 1 point. If both players are on your team you will receive 2 points total).

Draw = ½ half; Loss = 0 points; Win = 1 point

At the end of the competition, the customer who has the most total points will receive a £250 Free Bet!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

(1) Select one player from each of the six groups above for a chance to win a £250 Free Bet with Star Sports.
(2) You cannot choose more than one player per grouping. Your six selected players make up your team. You can only win points based on the performance of the six players you select. All teams must be entered before the first tee shot of the Ryder Cup on 26/09/2025.
(3) The £250 Free Bet will be given to the customer whose players score the largest combined total of points across the 2025 Ryder Cup.
(4) Points are allocated based on the below criteria:
Win’s their match = 1 point
Ties their match = 1/2 point
Loses their match = 0 points
(5) In the event of Foursomes or Fourballs, where two players work together to win a single match, 1 point will be awarded to each player in that winning pairing. If a match ends in a tie, all four players will receive ½ point.
(6) If multiple customers tie for the most combined points across the competition, the winner of the £250 Free Bet will be picked at random. Only those who are tied for the most points at the end of the Ryder Cup will be put into the winning draw. Customers who tie for the most points scored at the end of the competition but who do not win the £250 Free Bet prize, will receive a £25 Free Bet.
(7) This competition is open to account holders only. All entrants must be aged 18 or over. Free to enter. One entry per account number. In the event of multiple entries, we will void all entries from that entrant.
(8) A Free Bet, if successful, will be credited within 24 hours of the criteria being achieved, direct to your online account. It will expire 7 days after being credited.
(9) Free Bets may not be used in conjunction with any other current promotion.
(10) Star Sports reserve the right to withdraw or refuse any Free Bet promotion at any point. Free Bet stakes are not returned with winnings. Free Bet awards cannot be exchanged for cash. Free Bet awards can be used online, tablet or mobile only.
