Say hello to Star at Cheltenham
Cheltenham Open Meeting
Friday
LIVE ON C4/RUK
CHRISTMAS COME EARLY….
Cheltenham’s Open meeting – the best meeting this side of Christmas. Don’t take my word for it – that’s the view of AP !
And if you are on course today, firstly lucky you and secondly pop into the ring and say hello to the Star Sports team. They promise price pushes, promos, loyalty cards and most of all competitive prices from the bookmaker that likes to say yes.
Our Cheltenham pitch are offering the following enhanced prices for new accounts
1.05 Standing Ovation 2/1
2.05 Taquin Du Seuil 11/4
3.15 Balthazar King 2/1
We’ll be tweeting direct from the ring for all three days of the Open Meeting so if you’re not following us on twitter already, then just follow us @starsports_bet
One of the day one highlights is the Steel Plate And Sections Novices’ Chase at 2.05pm which was always going to be a match on paper between the Jonjo/AP runner Taquin Du Seuil and chasing debutant Oscar Whiskey who disappointed here at the Festival when a pulled up beaten favourite in the World Hurdle.
The Star Sports market is pointing very much one way this morning and that’s in favour of Oscar Whiskey in favour of Taquin Du Seuil who made a winning chase debut at Ffos Las.
Best bet for me today is Atlantic Roller each way in the 2.40. He is very much still a dark horse with untapped potential and doesn’t seem to be harshly handicapped.
STAR FORECAST
(stake between 0.5 and 10 points)
4 points ew ATLANTIC ROLLER at around 12/1

Mobile messaging startup Snapchat has reportedly rejected an acquisition offer from Facebook that would have valued the company at more than $3bn (Β£1.8bn).
The Wall Street Journal said the all-cash deal would have been Facebook’s largest acquisition ever.
Snapchat, which allows users to exchange smartphone photos and videos that automatically disappear in 10 seconds or less, is popular among teenagers.

The report of Facebook’s interest in Snapchat comes a couple of weeks after the world’s number one internet social network acknowledged that it was seeing a decline in daily use by young teenagers in the US, although it said overall use by teenagers was stable.
