STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Fri: Crystal Palace v Man City

Manchester City will be looking to make it back-to-back Premier League victories when they travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Friday evening, writes JOE CITRONE.

City got their league campaign up and running last weekend with a 2-1 home victory over Bournemouth, recovering from the disappointment of a 3-0 defeat at Arsenal in the Community Shield

City are going through transition at the moment after plenty of change around the Etihad, with Enzo Maresca now in charge following Pep Guardiola’s departure. Some interesting choices have been made already from the new coach, with Marc Guehi surprisingly starting in midfield against Bournemouth!

⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

Palace will be hoping for a much better showing than their opening-day defeat at Everton, although Pierre Sage’s side did create opportunities and were unfortunate not to get on the scoresheet.

There was plenty to like about City’s attacking display against Bournemouth, with their new-look side showing the ability to create chances and control possession even when the Cherries made life difficult.

I expect Palace to make this competitive for periods, but City should have too much quality across the pitch. The recent head-to-head record is particularly compelling, with Manchester City winning four of the last five meetings and keeping clean sheets in the last two.

I’m therefore happy to take Manchester City to win to nil.
