STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Fri: Ipswich v Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest will be looking to pull themselves out of the Premier League bottom-three when they make the trip to Portman Road to face Ipswich Town on Friday night, writes JOE CITRONE.

IPSWICH TOWN v NOTTINGHAM FOREST PREVIEW

It’s been a solid start to the season for newly promoted Ipswich Town, who sit 10th after seven games, firmly in the middle of the pack.

They’ve won two and lost two of their last four matches, with their most recent outing ending in a narrow 3-2 defeat to Manchester City. Despite the loss, Ipswich can take plenty of confidence from pushing the current league leaders so close.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, have endured a disappointing start to the campaign, with pressure beginning to mount on manager Oliver Glasner.

Their most recent performance was an improvement, as they stayed competitive against reigning champions Arsenal for much of the game, only to suffer a late 1-0 defeat at the City Ground courtesy of Noni Madueke’s strike. It was Forest’s third consecutive Premier League defeat.

WHERE’S THE BETTING VALUE IN IPSWICH TOWN v NOTTINGHAM FOREST?

With Ipswich currently following a win-one, lose-one pattern, their recent form above should give a strong hint of how this one should go.

They lost that last game against City, as mentioned, but won their most recent home game and will be confident of making it two in a row at Portman Road, especially given Nottingham Forest’s recent struggles. At 2/1 with starsports.bet, I like the odds on a home win.
