STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Fri: Plymouth v Leicester

Plymouth Argyle face Leicester City at Home Park on Friday night in a match likely to have big implications at both ends of the Championship table, writes JOE CITRONE.

Plymouth, who recently sacked manager Ian Foster after just three months at the helm, are fighting against relegation whereas Leicester City are desperately trying to cling onto an automatic promotion spot at the other end of the Championship.

At this stage of the season, every point matters, and, with so much on the line for both these sides, that makes this Friday night encounter so intriguing.

Argyle are unbeaten in the two matches since Foster departed the club; beating Rotherham 1-0 and then holding QPR to a 1-1 draw four days later.

They will be hoping this can be the beginning of a positive run that will see them safe from immediate relegation back to League One, but face a tough test on Friday against a promotion-chasing Leicester also in need of results.

⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

Only a matter of weeks ago, it looked like Leicester City were going to cruise back into the Premier League at the first time of asking, but a dip in form has ramped up the pressure on the Foxes.

In their most recent outing, Leicester were beaten 1-0 by Millwall thanks to a brilliant long-range strike by Ryan Longman, which leaves their promotion dreams in the balance.

Luckily for the Foxes, promotion rivals Leeds and Ipswich also dropped points, but Enzo Maresca’s side can’t afford too many more results like that if they are to finish this season in those coveted automatic promotion places.

Despite their recent issues, I think Leicester will come out on top in this one as I simply don’t see Plymouth being able to cope with them. I do see there being goals in this one and so a Leicester win and over 2.5 goals at even money looks appealing.

With 13 assists to his name in the Championship this season, I also like the look of a Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall assist at generous-looking price of 15/8 with starsports.bet.
