STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Sat: Nottingham Forest v Coventry

It took four attempts for Nottingham Forest to register a first Premier League win of the season, but last weekend’s victory at Villa Park means that Oliver Glasner’s side head into their home fixture against Midlands rivals Coventry City with a spring in their step, writes WILLIAM KEDJANYI.

Forest are red-hot 13/20 favourites to inflict a fifth successive defeat on a Coventry side who became just the fifth side in Premier League history to lose their opening four games without scoring a goal.

The visitors are 4/1 to spring an upset at the City Ground, but Frank Lampard’s task is made more difficult by the enforced absence of first-choice striker Taiwo Awoniyi, who misses out due to his red card against Brighton last weekend.

The Sky Blues are also hindered significantly by the absence of centre-half Aurele Amenda, who limped off with what looked like a calf injury against Aston Villa on Wednesday night.

⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

Morgan Gibbs-White might have missed out on an England call-up, but he’s still the main man when it comes to Nottingham Forest. Their talisman has already racked up ten shots in four Premier League outings, and has had a shot on target in his last three matches against Liverpool, Tottenham and Aston Villa.

Gibbs-White is also the penalty taker, so it’s easy enough to make a case for backing the number 10 to get himself on the scoresheet at 6/4 with starsports.bet & he’s 19/4 to strike first).

However, the main bet here has to be a comfortable home win, given Coventry’s offensive inefficiencies. The aforementioned 13/20 about Forest securing three points won’t have universal appeal, but we can boost those odds to 19/10 by backing the hosts to claim victory without conceding.
