STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Thurs: Aston Villa v Young Boys

In-form Aston Villa will be looking to take a step closer to Europa League qualification when they take on Swiss side Young Boys at Villa Park on Thursday night, writes JOE CITRONE.

After a poor start to the campaign, Villa have really started to hit their stride in recent weeks, embarking on a run of form that has seen them rise up to fourth in the Premier League table.

In their most recent outing, they came from behind to defeat Leeds United 2-1 at Elland Road, with a brilliant brace from Morgan Rogers cancelling out an early strike from Lukas Nmecha.

⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

Young Boys sit in third-place in the Swiss Super League, and will be riding high on the crest of a wave after hammering Winterthur 5-0 in their most recent fixture.

They have not had as much joy in the Europa League, though, currently sitting in 22nd place at the time of writing, with two wins and two defeats from their first four matches with no team conceding more goals at this stage than Young Boys (10).

However, they are still in with a chance of qualification, but would need to massively upset the odds by defeating a side bang in form in Aston Villa on their home patch on Thursday night.

With the form Villa are in, I don’t see them having much issue getting past their Swiss counterparts here. At 11/10 with starsports.bet, a home win to nil is the bet here.
