Ex-Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere would love to get one over on Chelsea when he takes his Luton Town team to Stamford Bridge in the EFL Cup on Thursday evening, writes JOE CITRONE.

Chelsea got their season off to a positive start on Monday night when Xabi Alonso’s side saw off Fulham 3-2 in a West London Derby in the Spaniard’s first game at the helm.

There will, undoubtedly, be plenty of changes from Chelsea in this EFL Cup tie, but Alonso will still want his Blues team to take this seriously, knowing that this could be a good chance of a first piece of silverware as a manager in England.
