STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Thurs: Chelsea v Tottenham
Chelsea have endured another disappointing season, but will be keen to put a dent in London rivals Tottenham Hotspur’s top-four chances when the two sides lock horns at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night writes JOE CITRONE.
In the lead-up to this game, Chelsea released an extraordinary injury list with 14 first-team players on it – including the likes of Thiago Silva, Reece James and Enzo Fernandez.
That goes some way to explaining perhaps the biggest problem that the Blues have had this season – getting a consistent XI on the pitch.
Mauricio Pochettino still finds himself under increasing scrutiny, though, and could really do with a positive result against his former club to relieve some of that mounting pressure on his shoulders.

As much as Ange Postecoglou has tried to play down the importance of a top-four finish at every opportunity, Spurs supporters will surely be desperate to see their side finish in the top-four and return to the Champions League next season.
Their bid to return to the top table of European football suffered an almighty setback at the weekend, though, as some dodgy set-piece defending allowed Arsenal to secure a 3-2 win over them in the North London Derby.
That leaves them seven points adrift of Aston Villa, but do have two games in hand to try and claw back some of those points and make things interesting in the last few weeks of the season. It would be safe to say, though, that this trip to Stamford Bridge is a must-win game.
Two exciting attacks and two vulnerable defence can, for me, only mean one thing for this game – goals. At 9/4 with starsports.bet, I am appealed by a bet of Tottenham and over 2.5 goals.
