STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Thurs: Harrogate v Doncaster

Doncaster Rovers will be looking to extend their lead at the top of the League Two table when they make the trip to North Yorkshire to face-off with Harrogate Town at Wetherby Road, writes JOE CITRONE.

Harrogate haven’t had the best of starts to this new season, winning just one of their opening five fixtures and suffering defeat in their most recent league outing against Cheltenham Town thanks to a stoppage-time strike from Tom Bradbury.

They will be looking to return to winning as soon as possible, but face a tough test on Thursday night against table-topping Doncaster Rovers.

Goalkeeper James Belshaw, who has arguably been one of Harrogate’s top performers so far this season, will need to be on top form to keep out the attacking quality Doncaster possess like Luke Molyneaux and Billy Sharp.

Doncaster Rovers are 8/11 favourites with starsports.bet to take home all three points on Thursday, and considering how they have started the campaign, it is not hard to see why.
Grant McCann’s side, who I backed to win the title in my 1-24 season preview, have started the season exactly as I suspected by winning four of their opening five fixtures and sitting at the top of the table.

There is a long way to go, but this Rovers side already looks like a team that could stay the course with the likes of Molyneaux and Sharp spearheading an incredibly dangerous attack.

Harrogate may have the home advantage here, but I don’t see a way of them stopping Doncaster with the form they are in. An away win to nil looks like the bet here at 2/1 with starsports.bet.
