STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Thurs: Nottm Forest v Porto

Sean Dyche takes charge of his first match as Nottingham Forest manager on Thursday night as Porto make the trip to the City Ground in the Europa League, writes JOE CITRONE.

It has been a disastrous start to the season for Forest, who, rather remarkably, are already onto their third manager of the campaign with Nuno Espirito Santo departing in September and his replacement, Ange Postecoglou, facing the axe after the 3-0 loss to Chelsea last week after just 39 days at the helm.

Dyche will now be hoping to bring some stability to a ship that has been sinking fast in recent weeks.

Before he sets his sights on digging Forest out of Premier League relegation danger, his first assignment is trying to revive his new side’s flailing Europa League campaign after a draw and a defeat from their first two matches.

⭐️ STARSPORTS.BET MATCH MARKETS ⭐️

After eight matches in their domestic campaign, Porto sit at the top of the Portuguese top-flight with seven wins and a draw on the board so far this season.

Their 100% record was brought to an end in their most recent league outing against Benfica, but will still have been content with a goalless draw that keeps them riding high at the top of the table.

Francesco Farioli’s side have been equally as strong in the Europa League with two wins on the board from their first two matches against Salzburg and Crvena zvezda, respectively.

This will be a very tough test for Dyche’s Forest, and I’m not sure they will be able to overcome it with confidence still surely at rock-bottom. At 9/5 with starsports.bet, I am backing a win for Porto here.
