English supporters can be found in force at every tournament the Three Lions reach, but they can expect qualification for next Summer’s World Cup to be official after tonight’s fixture against Latvia, writes WILLIAM KEDJANYI.

Serbia’s 1-0 defeat by Albania on Saturday means a win, just a 1/25 shot with starsports.bet – will take Thomas Tuchel’s side to North America next summer and given that Tuchel’s side have won all five of their Group K fixtures to date without conceding a goal despite varying performances, anything other than that would be a surprise.

With Tuchel having the same squad that took apart Wales – bar Bayer Leverkusen defender Jarell Quansah, who has withdrawn from the squad as a precautionary measure due to an unspecified injury – motivation will be high to stake a claim, especially with Jack Grealish, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden not in this squad, not to mention the absence of the in form Noni Madueke out due to injury.

Latvia have only one major tournament appearance – the 2004 Euros – as an independent nation and they have been outclassed in Group K so far, with just one win to show from their opening six Group K games. They’d lost each of their last five before a 2-2 draw against minnows Andorra (who they beat in their opening fixture) at the weekend thanks to goals from Dmitrijs Zelenkovs & Vladislavs Gutkovskis.

That shows the gulf in class, something underlined by the fact that have Latvia have lost their last 14 matches against sides in the top 10 of the FIFA World Rankings (England are fourth) by an aggregate score of 41-1, so this looks a case of how many.

Latvia employed a stubborn low block when beaten 3-0 at Wembley in March, and a similar display wouldn’t be a surprise here. With England so short, finding value is tricky and correct scores might be the best way to go with starsports.bet. 2-0 and 3-0 wins for England could give punters a good run for their money if Latvia are able to prevent an early onslaught.
