STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Tues: Aston Villa v PSG
Aston Villa have a mountain to climb in the second-leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, writes JOE CITRONE.
Unai Emery’s side took the lead in Paris last week, but PSG responded magnificently with goals from Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Nuno Mendes meaning that the French giants have a two-goal advantage heading into the reverse fixture at Villa Park.
Villa find themselves in strong form in the Premier League, winning their last four fixtures, but may have left themselves too much to do in the Champions League to be able to get past PSG.
If they are to be able to do it, they are going to need A+ performances from the likes of Ollie Watkins, Morgan Rogers and Marcus Rashford, who when they are all on it, can be difficult to stop for any side.

PSG will be hoping to be fresh and ready for this trip to Villa Park on Tuesday after having a blank weekend with no league action.
Naturally, they mustn’t be complacent here. They have been stung by Champions League comebacks before, the most famous one ironically being whilst Emery was manager against Barcelona in 2017.
However, this does feel like a different PSG team since they ditched the modern-day galacticos of Neymar, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe and started to take a different approach with younger players.
This feels like a fresher and more dynamic PSG and I expect them to progress to the semi-finals on Tuesday night.
PSG boast a formidable frontline of attacking talent, and certainly know where the back of the net is, and with Villa needing to push forward, I wouldn’t be at all shocked to see them exploit those spaces in behind. I think this could be a fairly open game here, which is why I am appealed to the bet of PSG and BTTS at 13/5 with starsports.bet.
