Chelsea defeated Fluminense’s Brazilian counterparts Palmeiras in the last stage of the competition to reach this stage after impressively seeing off Benfica 4-1 in the round-of-16.

After winning the Europa Conference League in May, lifting the Club World Cup would be a nice way to cap off a decent season of progression for the Blues, where Enzo Maresca’s side made their return to the Champions League after a two-season hiatus.

Chelsea are the favourites to win this clash, but Fluminense should not be underestimated having gone their last 11 matches in all competitions unbeaten.
