STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Weds: Arsenal v Sporting

After their Premier League title bid took a hit at the weekend, Arsenal will be looking to get back to winning ways when they take on Sporting in the Champions League on Wednesday, writes JOE CITRONE.

A 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday allowed Manchester City to reduce the gap at the top of the table to six points, with the two sides locking horns in a mammoth Premier League clash at the weekend.

Before that, Arsenal must first see out their second-leg clash with Sporting, holding a slender one-goal lead after a late winner from Kai Havertz settled the first leg.
