STAR FOOTBALL PREVIEW Weds: Liverpool v Galatasaray
Liverpool will need to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit against Galatasaray in their Champions League last-16 tie when the two sides meet again at Anfield on Wednesday, writes JOE CITRONE.
It’s now just one win in their last four games for Liverpool, after a late equaliser from Richarlison denied them victory against struggling Spurs last time out, with the pressure now starting to mount on the shoulders of manager Arne Slot.
Few would have imagined the Reds’ manager facing this situation less than 12 months after lifting the Premier League title. However, an early Champions League exit combined with a failure to secure qualification for next season via the league would be difficult for Slot to justify.

Galatasaray are just 90 minutes away from reaching the Champions League quarter-finals for the first time since the 2012-13 campaign, but a daunting test awaits, with European nights at Anfield rarely anything but formidable.
The Turkish giants brushed aside Istanbul Basaksehir in their last outing in the league, and will be hoping that momentum can carry through to Wednesday night, where they will be hoping to cause one of the shocks of the round in Merseyside.
With the home crowd fully behind them and creating a daunting atmosphere, Liverpool look very likely to find the net. However, their defensive vulnerabilities remain hard to ignore. At 4/6 with starsports.bet, both teams to score stands out as an appealing option.
