STAR PREVIEW: Birmingham City v Hull City
[dropcap]I[/dropcap] could have had 20 guesses and still not got last night’s Premier League correct permutation of results correct. What a life to be a Leicester City supporter / backer and see everything fall your way without even kicking a ball.
Championship action tonight with Birmingham taking on Hull – with big consequences for both sides. Birmingham have the chance to get within a point of the play-off zone and Hull will go to the top of the table by two points if they can take all three points.
Hull have a good recent record over Birmingham and they won the reverse fixture 2-0 back in October.
Both sides have been good at keeping clean sheets recently – Hull held Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at tbe Emirates in the FA Cup and will meet again in the replay next week.
The hosts recent form isn’t as strong with defeats against Sheffield Wednesday and QPR amongst their last four games.
Birmingham are also faring worse with the team news and injury lists. They could be without striker James Vaughan (calf) and midfielder Stephen Gleeson (illness). This adds to manager Gary Rowett’s concerns with striker Nicolai Brock-Madsen also out with a quad injury.
In contrast, Hull’s manager Steve Bruce has a fully fit squad to choose from.
