STAR PREVIEW: Cardiff v Wolves

If tonight’s clash between Cardiff and Wolves is anywhere near as exciting as the last meeting between the two, then Sky will be the place to be tonight. When the two were fighting it out at the top of the Championship, Wolves were leading heading into the ninetieth minute before Cardiff won two penalties in added time – and missed them both 🙁

The two meet once again with the stakes once again being sky high – Cardiff are in the drop zone whilst Wolves, who have shown great quality early in the season, are now becoming close to being mired in the relegation battle following a bad run of five games without success. There’s been some tough fixtures in there, including matches against the north London giants of Tottenham and Arsenal, but they were outplayed by Huddersfield at Molineux on Sunday and there doesn’t appear to be any reason to expect an upturn in performance.

Cardiff are trapped at the bottom of the league, but they are showing improvement recently winning two games at home whilst they playing respectably in their 1-0 defeat at Everton and their only defeat by more than a one-goal margin came against Liverpool at Anfield. Whilst Wolves probably have the greater individual quality in the shape of players such as Reuben Neves, Adama Traore and Joao Moutinho, they could well find themselves outfought by Warnock’s men and Cardiff appear to be a little bit of value.
