STAR PREVIEW: Chelsea v Swansea City
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he aggregate score last season between Chelsea and Swansea was 9-2 and it’s hard to argue a case for it being much different today as the defending champions will be keen to start the new season in style in front of their home crowd.
Chelsea are now unbeaten in their last 10 league meetings with Swansea, winning eight and the Swans have lost all four Premier League trips to Stamford Bridge.
If you pinning your hopes on a close game then the angle in will be the relatively poor pre-season friendly form for Chelsea but how much that will count for in the season proper is questionable.
Jose Mourinho said: “The real football starts today, I think everybody’s waiting for it. Let’s try to be a good team and be here in March or April speaking about winning something. I believe the teams who aren’t title contenders will be stronger, the gap between the top and others will be shorter.”
The big team news is that Diego Costa remains a doubt after sitting out the Community Shield last weekend.
For Swansea Jordi Amat is the only doubt with a foot problem.

Not exactly the bravest bet for me to start the new campaign. Much more of dipping the toe into the water type of bet but over 2.5 goals at around 4/5 is the call.
