STAR PREVIEW: Club Brugge v Man Utd
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he 3-1 scoreline in favour of Man U was hugely flattering to them with Man U’s third goal courtesy of Marouane Fellaini (a Belgian !!) coming as the referee had the whistle in his mouth ready to blow for full-time in the first leg.
It means they can approach tonight’s second leg with an air of calmness but can’t afford to be too casual with a sell out crowd likely to pump up the FC Brugges players and them having the valuable away goal to their credit. The Belgians deserved no more than a one goal deficit after the first leg but football isn’t always fair like that.
A place in the Champions League ‘proper’ is up for grabs so the stakes are high and the early money on Star Sports was for Man U to get the away win and complete the job in style but I can’t be backing Man U at odds on tonight.
Louis van Gaal has said that Marouane Fellaini will play in attack rather than midfield this season.
