STAR PREVIEW: Crystal Palace v Man City

[dropcap]G[/dropcap]ood result for the column on Sunday thanks to Jermain Defoe’s stunning volley to give Sunderland their 1-0 win.

The column is now back over 100 points in profit since last year’s World Cup!

Just one remaining match in the Premier League this holiday weekend and it’s at Selhurst Park tonight as Crystal Palace welcome Man City (8pm SKY).

These are two sides in vastly contrasting form. Palace have been revitalised since the arrival of Alan Pardew and now look safe from relegation whilst Man City have seen their Premier League title chances fizzle out as well as exiting the Champions League. They have slipped to fourth tn the table but still (seemingly) clear of Liverpool in fifth place in the race for Champions League places.

City have suffered recent defeats on the road at the hands of Liverpool and Burnley and come up against a Palace side who have won three of their last four league games. A loss for City tonight would mark the first time in four years that they have lost three consecutive away games.

However, Palace have an exceptionally poor record against Man City who have won their last five Premier League head to heads and a loss for Palace tonight would set a new top flight record for the most consecutive defeats against a single opponent!

Pardew has no new injury concerns for tonight whilst Manuel Pellegrini is expected to have both Yaya Toure and James Milner back to choose from after their recent injuries.
