STAR PREVIEW: Derby County v Watford
[dropcap]P[/dropcap]lenty of Good Friday action in the Championship and the teatime live game is Derby v Watford at 7.45pm.
It’s usually a fixture that provides plenty of goals, as you can see below, and this renewal couldn’t have more at stake.
It’s incredibly tight at the top of the Championship and amazingly any one of eight teams could still be crowned champions. Watford currently lie second, one point behind leaders Bournemouth and five points in front of Derby in fifth spot. Both teams will clearly be anxious to clinch one of the two automatic promotion spots.
The fact that Derby are now in the play-off zone is a surprise in itself given they were strong leaders but they have now gone six games without a win.
The home team will be boosted though by the expected return of Chris Martin (19 goals this season) who has missed the last 10 games with a hamstring injury.
For Watford Almen Abdi is out due to a hamstring injury but may be back for the just as crucial game against Middlesbrough on Monday.
