STAR PREVIEW: Everton v Swansea
[dropcap]P[/dropcap]rofit from the Bournemouth v Liverpool game yesterday with the over 3.5 goal bet obliging.
Time to focus on the other half of Merseyside tonight for Everton v Swansea.
Everton have definitely improved under Sam Allardyce but with some tough fixtures coming up over Christmas / New Year (Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, Spurs) they will be anxious to bag three points here against a Swansea side who have lost seven of their last nine Premier League games and are currently propping up the table.
It was only a few weeks ago that I was thinking Everton were relegation candidates themselves but a word of caution – Everton have failed to beat Swansea the last seven times they have met – the same fixture last season finished 1-1.
Ahead of tonightβs match at Goodison, Allardyce said: “We look like we’re defensively sound now and now it’s about expanding on that.
“We have to be more expansive – not lose that defensive solidarity – but be more creative and more accomplished because in the games down the line, we’ll have to break down teams or we’ll have to play the big boys and try and get results.”
The Everton boss will be without the services of James McCarthy and Leighton Baines who remain out with respective hamstring and calf problems.
