STAR PREVIEW: Northampton v Man U
[dropcap]P[/dropcap]leasing result with the DRAW recommendation on the Leicester v Chelsea game last night.
Northampton get their big pay day tonight as they welcome Man U to the Sixfields Stadium.
The sides have only met four times previously with a one-sided aggregate score reading Man U 17 Northampton 5.
The Cobblers have started League One with 11 points from 11 games and will no doubt fancy their chances against Jose Mourinho’s United who have now lost their last three matches against Manchester City, Feyenoord and Watford. They looked particularly poor against Watford at the weekend.
Northampton boss Rob Page said of Mourinho: “He’ll be working hard to put things right.
“There’s no crisis, it’s three defeats. That will be the message.
“They’re expected to win the game and if they don’t they’ll be criticised.”
Mourinho is likely to field a much stronger side than otherwise expected – simply to avoid more egg on his face.
Michael Carrick is set for his first outing of the season.
Full-back Luke Shaw has a groin tear and striker Anthony Martial is a doubt with a head injury, while midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has a thigh problem.
