STAR PREVIEW: Portugal v Iceland (Euro 2016 Tuesday)
[dropcap]W[/dropcap]e’ve seen all the teams in this year’s Euro 2016 tournament apart from Portugal and Iceland who head onto the stage at 8pm for the final first round game.
Iceland have made the finals for the first time and are quite a hard side to predict – certainly their matches usually feature plenty of goals !!
Over 2.5 looks rock solid – seven of the last eight of Iceland’s games have finished over the 2.5 level and when these two sides met in qualifying in 2010/11 it finished 8-4 on aggregate to Portugal over just two matches !!
Iceland beat the Netherlands twice in qualifying but they are a side who are woefully below their best.
Portugal have suffered four defeats in the last 12 months – all by 1-0 margins at the hands of France, Russia, Bulgaria and England but remain a strong force with Ronaldo up front.
Ronaldo will win his 127th cap tonight which equals the Portuguese record set by Luis Figo.
