STAR PREVIEW: PSG v Arsenal

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]bsolute feast of Champions League action to look forward to tonight with Man City, Arsenal and Celtic’s trip to the Camp Nou very much the highlights.

The most competitive game is the Group A clash between PSG v Arsenal with the hosts a shade of odds-on. They are the two heavyweights of the group completed by Basel and Ludogorets.

It’s not a bad time for the Gunners to be visiting Paris. PSG have made a sloppy start to the season by their own standards – currently seventh in Ligue 1 and their last two matches have seen them beaten 3-1 by Monaco and held to a 1-1 draw by St-Etienne.

Perhaps the changes at PSG are taking time to bed in. During the summer Unai Emery took over as manager and of course they lost their master striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Manchester United.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said: “They will be continue to be the dominant team in France but they lost more than a player with Ibrahimovic.

“He was the leader, the captain, a charismatic carrier of the ambition of the club and it’s always difficult to measure, when you lose a player of that stature, how big the damage is.

“At the moment they have also changed managers so they are trying to find their feet at the moment.”
