STAR PREVIEW: Reading v Cardiff City

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ull set of Premier League fixtures on Tuesday and Wednesday this week but for starters it’s a trip to the Madejski Stadium for Reading’s clash with high-flying Cardiff City.

Cardiff have the chance to narrow the gap on leaders Wolves to just two points and pull six points clear of third-placed Bristol City at the top of the table.

Cardiff’s manager Neil Warnock told BBC Radio Wales: “It’s such an open league anyone can go three or four games without winning. You haven’t got to let it worry you.

“Every game is winnable and every game you can lose. That’s the beauty of the Championship. I think it’s a wonderful league regarding not knowing what’s around the corner.

“We’re just happy going along as we are. We weren’t supposed to be up there so let’s treat it as a bonus but let’s enjoy it. If we can just get a bit of luck with the injuries we could improve in the New Year I think.”

Reading seem to have stopped the rot and come into this unbeaten in four games, winning their last two matches against Barnsley and Sunderland and scoring three goals in both games.

They will also take heart from the fact that last season they did the double over Cardiff.

Reading’s manager Jaap Stam looks set to stick with a winning formula and name the same starting line-up for a fourth consecutive game.
