After the rout that was the Ryder Cup we’re back to normal service on the PGA Tour and this week were down south in Jackson Mississippi for the second event on the 2021/22 season, The Sanderson Farms Championship.

Hoge had an outstanding finish to last season making it all the way to the final of the Fedex Cup series. He is still being overlooked by the market somewhat and I think this relatively benign track is quite gettable for his ball striking game. Hoge placed at 400/1 during the Fedex Cup series and I’m expecting him to win at three figure price this year.

Mackenzie Hughes – currently at ? with starsports.bet

This is a very generous price for a player that was in contention multiple times last season and ran deep in the Fedex Cup. He is a far better player than these odds. I think the bookies have him wrong here, but I certainly won’t be complaining if he places or wins.

Mito Pereira – currently at ? with starsports.bet

The young Chilean is one of the most exciting up-and-coming names in world golf. He was a three time winner on the Korn Ferry tour and he showed no issues adjusting to life on the PGA Tour with an impressive performance to finish third at the season opening Fortinet Championship. His game is strong from tee to green and I see no reason why he won’t carry on his momentum from week one.

Michael Thompson – currently at ? with starsports.bet

Another unfashionable golfer at an extremely nice price. Thompson is a multiple winner on the PGA Tour and he plays tight, accuracy-based courses like this very well. He started his season solidly at the Fortinet and I think he is outstanding each way value here.
