STAR PREVIEW Sat: Chelsea v Aston Villa
Chelsea will be looking to continue their strong start to the season and strengthen their title credentials with victory against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Thomas Tuchel had already been getting a tune out this Chelsea side last season before the summer transfer window; guiding the Blues into the top-four and, of course, winning the Champions League final against Manchester City.
But now, with Romelu Lukaku and Saul Niguez added into the mix, this Blues side are a totally different beast with many now considering them serious contenders for this season’s Premier League title.
They showed toughness and resilience as well as class and quality when they battled to a 1-1 draw against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool last week despite a sending off for Reece James on the stroke of half-time.
But Tuchel and co will be desperate to get back to winning ways against Aston Villa and secure a victory that could send the Blues to the Premier League’s summit.

Villa began their season with a disappointing 3-2 defeat to newly-promoted Watford, but did bounce back with four points from their following two fixtures by defeating Newcastle and then drawing with Brentford.
The loss of talisman midfielder Jack Grealish has been felt at Villa Park, but new additions Danny Ings and Emiliano Buendia have both slotted in nicely. Leon Bailey, who joined in the summer from Bayer Leverkusen, is also not too far away from coming in and making an impact.
However, Chelsea are going to be a very hard team to stop this season – especially at Stamford Bridge. Aston Villa are going to have to produce something very special, much like they did on the final game of last season, in order to stop Tuchel’s men from continuing their charge towards the top of the table. We’re backing Chelsea to win and over 2.5 goals.
