STAR PREVIEW: Sevilla v Man U
Sevilla at home might prove a tough nut to crack for Man U. The Spanish side have a good home record – losing just one of their last nine European home games and a DRAW seems a likely outcome that would certainly suit Man U.
Man U’s great start to 2018 has faltered in recent weeks with defeats against Spurs and Newcastle and they also have a big match to look forward to on Sunday as they welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford in the Premier League.
This is their first competitive meeting but an interesting stat is that Man U have never scored more than one goal in any of their past 14 Champions League encounters with Spanish opposition. Good luck then if you ae considering the ‘overs’ here !
Pogba is expected to start for Man U after recovering from the illness which kept him out of the FA Cup win against Huddersfield but Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones and Marouane Fellaini are all likely to miss out.
Goalkeeper David de Gea is set to return after being rested for the Huddersfield game
Mourinho is understandably playing down hopes of winning the title. He said: “I normally say that Champions League dreams, they start around the quarter-finals and not yet.
“The last 16 still looks a long way to go. At the moment, we have to focus on a very difficult moment.”
