STAR PREVIEW: Spurs v WBA
[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ny thoughts of a minor Leicester wobble were well and truly extinguished yesterday after their thumping of Swansea which leaves Spurs in an absolute must win scenario for their 8pm game tonight.
Spurs still have to believe and whilst it’s still very much out of their hands, a win tonight would at least keep Leicester in check.
Certainly, a repeat of the 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns in December will no where near be good enough.
If Spurs lose tonight then Leicester would need just two more points to guarantee the title. A Spurs win closes the gap to five points.
Spurs looked inspired when beating Stoke 4-0 last Monday and Mauricio Pochettino will demand nothing less.
As for WBA boss Tony Pulis he is quite happy to see Spurs or Leicester win the title. He said: “White Hart Lane is one of my favourite grounds. It’s a fantastic stadium with a great atmosphere. Everything to do with the club is first class. I enjoy taking teams there and we need to make sure we are up for it.”
He added: ”I’ve said before that I would love to see Leicester win the league but, if not, then I’m also happy with Tottenham. It’s great for football that there will be a different team picking up the trophy this year.”

There’s is simply no other option but for the Spurs to go marching on tonight. I fully expect them to do so and come out of the blocks with all cylinders firing.
Spurs winning at HT and FT is 4/6 with Star Sports and will do for me.
