We find ourselves at the start of the FedEx Cup playoffs. From here the top 125 money earners play the golfing equivalent of musical chairs to see who can stay alive and progress through the subsequent rounds of the lucrative Fedex Cup series.

The party starts at TPC Southwind, a 7,233 yard par 70 with Bermuda greens and an abundance of water hazards together with thick rough that demands accuracy over driving distance in order to get into birdie position.

As ever, I’m on the hunt for attractive each way value as opposed to the red-hot favourites.

Tyrrell Hatton – Currently ? with starsports.bet
Something tells me that Hatton has re-found something in his swing. He hit an excellent six under final round last week to finish in a tie for 8th and I believe he will take a great deal of confidence from that as he continues to put up a string of solid performances. Hatton’s iron game is his strength so as long as he gets into position off the tee he should thrive on this layout.

Davis Riley – Currently ? with starsports.bet
Riley played well last week at the Wyndham to finish tied for 13th He was fighting for the lead as they teed off on Sunday but was left in the dust after a pretty ordinary one under par final round. I’m going to roll the dice on him again this week because he looks to be trending in the right direction and this course should suit his ball striking strengths.

Lee Hodges – Currently ? with starsports.bet
No surprises who my long-priced special is this week. I have been flagging this guy up for a good while now. He put up another encouraging start early last week and was sitting just off the lead after two rounds only to throw away his chance with an awful third round. He finished reasonably well on Sunday to end up inside the top 50, but if he can drop that one sloppy round he could be a great each way shout at any old money. Don’t sleep on Lee Hodges, the kids got talent.

Collin Morikawa – Currently ? with starsports.bet
If you are looking for a more mainstream pick, the best of the big dogs round this sort of course with its accent on accuracy could well be Morikawa. When he’s on song his iron game is the best in the business, and I think his price is actually quite decent value this week.
