STAR PREVIEW: Tottenham v Chelsea
[dropcap]I[/dropcap]f a Spurs v Chelsea derby wasn’t juicy enough, there’s plenty of added interest tonight to see if Chelsea can equal Arsenal’s record of 14 top flight wins in a row and if they did create their own record of doing inside a single season.
The last derby between them at White Hart Lane finished 0-0 but it’s very difficult to envisage that scoreline again with the record at stake and both teams in excellent form.
Spurs would take a share of third if gaining all three points and also do Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal a big favour in halting Chelsea’s runaway season. The market is basically take your pick of three – home win, draw or away win.
Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte said: “Now it’s not easy after 13 wins in a row you face teams that want to beat you not only to take three points, but for many reasons.
“It’s more difficult. We must know this.
“I think it’s very difficult to repeat this run. To win 16 games, draw one game and lose two games is a great achievement for us.”
