STAR PREVIEW: Wales v Belgium
[dropcap]S[/dropcap]o much for the closed football season !!! SKY are covering eight matches simultaneously on Friday evening (seven of them on the red button !!).
Feature match is Wales v Belgium and it’s no surprise to see the Belgian’s at a short price as Wales have failed to beat then in their last five matches.
There will be a terrific atmosphere at the sell-out Cardiff City Stadium as Wales bid to reach the finals of a major tournament since the 1958 World Cup in Sweden.
The two sides jointly head Group B with 11 points each with Belgium top courtesy of a seven goal better goal advantage. The Belgian’s have scored 13 goals so far in their five games and only conceded one.
They will be without Marouane Fellaini who has been ruled out with a groin injury following Belgium’s 4-3 win away to France in Sunday’s friendly.
Wales come into this a fresh side after deciding against playing a friendly beforehand and with the likes of Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and their inspirational captain Ashley Williams are a potent force.
Wales manager Chris Coleman is only too aware of the important of this game. He said: “I’m as excited as I’ve ever been in my career, player or manager. I’m under more pressure than I’ve ever been as well.”
