STAR PREVIEW: Watford v Man U

[dropcap]A[/dropcap]ll good things have to come to an end …. just wish it wasn’t in quite so quite a crash, bang and wallop kind of way !!

The preview columns have been ticking over nicely over the last couple of weeks and the P&L was heading for another boost last night when Brentford were seemingly cruising against QPR – 2-0 up going into injury time when the unthinkable happened and they conceded TWICE 🙁

Great news for the QPR fans – shame most of them had long since left Loftus Road !!

It’s funny how a result like that can effect your confidence – even on the back of a good run. Like a lot of punters I recognise the losing and winning runs and fear that was a turning point on the road.

Of course, with the glass half full it can be simply dismissed as a small blip of a speed hump on the punting road.

It does mean I’m heading into tonight’s Watford v Man U with trepidation more than all guns blazing which might not be a bad thing.

It’s one of four games in the Premier League with another six to come tomorrow which makes a welcome break from the international midweek action.

If you are thinking of piling in at odds on about Man U, just a salient reminder that Watford won this same fixture 3-1 last season and Man U seem to either knock in four goals or struggle to find one goal this season – with very little in-between !

They were certainly made to work hard against Brighton at the weekend with Mourinho full of praise for the newly promoted side and this could be a good time for Watford to be meeting the Red Devils.

Certainly Man U’s form at home is much better than on their travels and Watford will be well up for this given they are having a good season themselves – currently in eighth and eight points behind Man U.

Watford will be boosted by the expected return of their captain Troy Deeney after suspension
