STAR PREVIEW: West Brom v Man Utd
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]oday’s Premier League fixtures rather have a look of after the Lord Mayor’s Show after yesterday’s drama.
For all Man U have been criticised this season – the failings of other teams around them suddenly makes their position of fifth in the table with solid prospects of a Champions League place look much more palatable to the Old Trafford faithful.
Today’s rivals, West Brom, haven’t yet hit the ‘magic’ 40 points but look safe enough in mid-table.
I can’t help but to think back to 2013 when this pair fought out a 5-5 (FIVE-FIVE !!) draw thriller when Man U were 3-1 up at half-time.
In the five games since then West Brom have won twice (including at Old Trafford last season) and drawn one, so this could again be tough.
The Baggies are without Chris Brunt and defender Jonny Evans is still missing with a hamstring injury.
For Man U Michael Carrick is expected to return after being rested midweek and Chris Smalling could be back from a shoulder injury.
