STAR PREVIEW: West Ham v Huddersfield

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]rank de Boer’s departure as manager of Crystal Palace manager after just five games and 77 days in charge has set a new record in the Premier League Sack Race.

Palace have lost all four games and failed to score a goal which makes it even more incredible that West Ham sit BELOW them in the table !!!

The Hammers have played one less game – but lost them all too and conceded even more goals than Palace so the pressure quite clearly is on manager Slaven Bilic – especially on home soil tonight against Huddersfield – a fixture most West Ham fans would expect nothing less than three points from.

Whether the London Stadium can yet be considered ‘home’ for West Ham is another story is entirely – for my money it’s still more of a neutral venue in the same way that visiting fans will view Wembley when playing Spurs.

Huddersfield have made a bright start to their new life in the top flight and bid to become the first promoted side to keep a clean sheet in their first four Premier League matches.

Huddersfield’s coach David Wagner said: “I’ve no idea if it’s a good time (to play them) and to be fair it doesn’t bother me what’s going on at West Ham because this is nothing we can influence.

“This is of no interest to us. We have to make sure we get our details right and are focused on ourselves.

“We are still humble enough to know it will be the big West Ham United against the small Huddersfield Town.”

You know this head to head is a rarity when the last 10 head to head stats go back to 1960.

West Ham are not playing well at all and the value has to be with a Huddersfield win at around 3/1 with Star Sports.

If that result comes up, expect Bilic to be going through the same trap door as de Boer.
