STAR SPORTS GREYHOUND DERBY: Pat Buckley kennel visit

Pat Buckley has already won the Irish and Scottish Derby’s and is desperate to add the English Derby to his CV to become one of a very select group of trainers who have won all three. He’s been unlucky in England so far having had three finalists who have all found trouble when it mattered. This year he is back with a team of five in a bid to try to achieve his dream.

BRAVEHEART BOBBY

A Scottish Derby finalist and Kingdom Derby winner, this dog’s record speaks for itself. A gorgeous fawn and white boy with a nice profile – two and a half years old and enough experience behind him to see him go through the rounds at Nottingham.

🔹 since this video was recorded Braveheart Bobby has won the Scottish Derby for the Buckley family.

BURGESS BUCKS

It’s obvious that Pat thinks a lot of this dog. He’s extremely well bred and although he has only just turned two, Pat tells us why he thinks he has the tools to go far at Nottingham.

DROOPYS DAVY

The 2018 Kirby Memorial winner and Easter finalist, Davy went out in the first round of the Star Sports Derby at Towcester last year. Now three years old and plenty of experience behind him, Pat tells us why he is better equipped this year to handle the rigours of the Derby.

PAGANINI SHOW

A Tralee unraced winner who has had an injury problem but is coming back just at the right time.

DESIGNER LABEL

A late-comer to the Buckley kennel, Designer Label won’t have much time to settle in before he moves across to the UK with Pat for a tilt at the Star Sports Derby.

THE IRISH ARE COMING!

Pat tells us about the Irish challenge for the Star Sports Derby this year at Nottingham. He also sums up his journey with the competition over the years, explains why and where he is staying in England for the duration of the competition and what is would mean to him if he were to win on June 29th.
