Pat Buckley has already won the Irish and Scottish Derby’s and is desperate to add the English Derby to his CV to become one of a very select group of trainers who have won all three. He’s been unlucky in England so far having had three finalists who have all found trouble when it mattered. This year he is back with a team of five in a bid to try to achieve his dream.

The 2018 Kirby Memorial winner and Easter finalist, Davy went out in the first round of the Star Sports Derby at Towcester last year. Now three years old and plenty of experience behind him, Pat tells us why he is better equipped this year to handle the rigours of the Derby.
