THE RESULTS
KAAN’S HEAT BY HEAT BETTING NOTES
From the Star Sports pitch:
HEAT 22
Bullets missed in the first. Early £1000 on Russian Glory 3/1, then same punter another £600 at 11/4 near the off. Also fielded £1100/1000 the fav. Nice start, long way to go as we’ve seen the first two nights. The fav looked every bit the winner until folding close home. Needed the run according to connections after no race for 7 weeks.
HEAT 23
After a nice book in the first. We haven’t took enough to go and get Ed’s dinner in the second. Slight winning race if only £13. Lets go again.
HEAT 24
Jaytee Wexford £350 @ 5/1 biggest loser in a relatively quiet heat. Bits and pieces elsewhere, but nothing too worrying. Peewee round the outside to get up and land a random punters small forcecast! We’ll take anything.
HEAT 25
All the work undone. Big bet early doors for the winner undisclosed (7000/4000), Grands here and there. Bet all prices down. Hard hats on. Back we go.
HEAT 26
Best two dogs backed of the day go in back to back for large sums. They say bad things come in 3. Sincerely hope not. 5 figures out the hod and some. Somebody told me Ed is good luck. If he’s good luck, we don’t need bad. Lofty, where are you?! Anyway, it’s a marathon, not a sprint. The winners have been impressive. Chests out we are here all night.
HEAT 27
They do come in threes. Traps failed to open so we had to wait a bit longer for the punishment. Bockos Viera for the Irish once again after a missed break found wings down the far side and we knew our fate. Biggest bet 3375/1500. Not big damage but punters having a field day. Rumour had it they’re already forming a payout queue for the next! Very good money flying about, but it’s just one way traffic at the minute.
HEAT 28
Slight delay. A little bit of counting and the shock of a winning race. The come back is on. Ok, a long way to go, but it’s a start. Wide Open already on the Christmas card list.
HEAT 29
One for the good guys! Ed last seen taking a sit down as can’t believe we’ve kept the lot. Trouble at the corner, and the outsider slipped clear. It’s what Derby dreams are made of!
HEAT 30
Small loser in the book ‘All About Ted’. Could have been much worse. We managed to get Fernandes in and evenly spread. All bits and pieces. Can you hear the drums Fernando?
HEAT 31
A smaller book. Albeit a losing one. Again could have been worse with the Irish flying high! All on to the last, where’s the light? It’s getting dark. We can’t see much money ….
HEAT 32
Plenty of business, a nice book. Cheering everything bar T2. Underneath the bars it comes and into the distance it went. All of a sudden T1 found a pair of wings and so did T3 from nowhere. 3 way photo. Punters of 1 queueing, 2 backers saying unlucky see you next week. Photo….crowd silent, 2 is called to our misery. Sighs from the crowd…we know the feeling! Got any money your side Ed?
THE SUMMARY
All in all a good nights racing. Apart from the early business today, we had clawed the rest back going into the last, and then knocked it out. It’s been a great opening round, and turnover has been good. We can’t have it always, punters hammered us all weekend. But that means one thing. Round 2, they’ve got more ammo! We are patching the wounds up as we speak, but we will be there next week to take them on again. We love this game!
Kaan and Ed, over and out…
